She looks in lies at the passers-by. More or less a conclusion of self appraisal. Lines drawn, with little else. Could she be any less involved? Rhetorical questions are redundant, and so she lies.

She lies in black and white, far removed from typical meanderings. It's a system. And it works.

They move slowly as her eyes drape their being, measured in an instant. I know you. And you. And, you.

It's all she can do to remember. Thoughtlessness, that's all it was. I can get through this. It's a puzzling landscape, the fields of justice. A labyrinth of deception and trust, but the path is etched in the back of her hand. A path she treads with mindless footsteps, and sincerity.

She blinks. She's back. It's another day, another chance, and they won't retreat.

So she'll just stay, and watch.

i can't say i understand. all i know is it makes me feel very sad.

It's not sad particuarly, more observational. I guess you have to be in my head to see.
