Does anybody have any friends or family that are competing?

My buddy/coworker Bruce is running and is on pace to finish in under 3hrs. He's about halfway through.

The girl at my gym has been training since the fall. She runs like a ballerina.

I can't imagine running 26 miles in this weather.

I think its amazing how they have tracking devices now so you can monitor everyone's progress.

I can't imagine running that kind of distance, let alone during a miserable spring storm.

I am training for my first marathon. Only 5 more months.

My co-work Keara ran and finished it in 3:27:37 (she's nuts).

Wasn't it the Boston Marathon where some chick only ran the last mile and was credited with winning it one year? That shit cracks me up. Before i even heard that story i did basically the same thing. We have a 5K around here and i was walking to the store to buy some baseball cards when i was around 12. I see the runners coming and i let some of them pass and then ran towards the leaders. I was in first place for a bit and eventually finished like 25th. Some lady was going nuts cause i clearly beat the shit out of kids anywhere near my age group. She made me sign these forms and shit but i got scared that i was gonna get busted so i just left before i could get the trophy.

Running in place, or running in space ?
