I'm thinking that the NBA Playoffs might be my favorite sporting event (unless the Astros are in the playoffs and even though they take 3 months)

Watching that game was like watching an airplane crash into a train crash into a mid-sized sedan crash into a bicycle crash into a person carrying a stroller crash into a garbage can. In slow motion.

West:
Dallas in 6(nellie versus his former team, should be a fun series)
Phoenix in 5(defense defense defense is the key for the lakers, they have absolutely no answer for nash or barbosa. i hope im wrong :) )
San Antonio in 5(my personal pick to represent the west in the finals)
Houston in 6(this is the year t-mac finally makes it out of the first round... i think)

East:
Detroit in 5(im interested in watching the pistons frontcourt versus howard)
Clev in 5(hopefully its as good as last year's series between the two teams, but no gilbert this year)
Toronto in 6(toronto really surprised me this year)
Miami in 6(tough series to call, but im going with the champs)

my favorite time of the year :)

Other predictions:

The Heat will go down 0-2 to the Bulls only to come back and win thanks to Dwayne Wade's uncanny ability to draw fouls without contact.

After losing the first two in Phoenix, Kobe Bryant will score 50 pts in Game 3 against Phoenix leading the Lakers to a win. People will flood message boards and blogs with praises that he is the greatest scorer of all time and start predicting that he will single handedly beat the Suns. The next two games he will shoot 25+ shots make less than 40 percent of them and only give 2 to 3 assists, while the Lakers lose their last two games by double digits. Announcers will continue to orally felate him though, and blame his talentless teammates who will shoot around 50 percent for the series.

Melo will punch Duncan for laughing at a promo on the jumbotron when the Nuggets are down 20 in game 6. The only thing girlier than Melo's swing will be Tim Duncan's giant tears. Melo would be fined another 20 games in the coming season if it was another player, but since it's Duncan, David Stern will have him lethally injected before tip-off of game 1 of the Suns-Spurs series.

Yeah I'll take that bet. The Cavs are the one team I cannot see winning it. It's half-assed LeBron plus a bunch of WNBA players.
