Lexington 2003 had a cool vibe to it... just Ed on guitar and Matt. I don't know if they ever performed it like that before or after. If there's another version like it, please speak up.

Fargo.

Ed played Thumbing My Way in Fargo on an electric rather than acoustic. Did he do that anywhere else that tour?

As he usually plays it acoustically, was the electric version better or worse?

Ed came out solo and electric to close the show with this version. It's still my favorite. Before he plays it he says something about how some people were holding up a sign or something and "...if you try sometimes, you just might find a lead-singer who gives a fuck." Denver '98.

I think thats how Augusta 1996 ended too, way cool.

I was just thnking of starting a thread on this and ask which version is best?

I like the 03 versions, they have an improv feel.

How and when has it been played post-03?

He did it in Canada in '05 (I know is not "that tour")

My favorite version of "I Am A Patriot" is definitely from 6/13/99 Tibetan Freedom Concert - fast and punky. I absolutely love it. If you want, I will gladly email it to you if you drop me a line at browneheather@gmail.com

Definitely one you should have in your collection.

That's a good performance, but the Dylan cover practically steals the show.
