In the section about the early 1990's there's a page about pop culture in the early 90's and there's a picture of Pearl Jam with a little note about them.

I'll go look...

The appeal of Seattle's Pearl Jam is based on the group's hard-rocking sound and the expressive vocals of lead singer Eddie Vedder

with a picture of the band when Dave A. was still in the band

Do Nirvana get the lion's share of coverage in that section?

Surprisingly, no mentions of Nirvana or Alice in Chains. It only mentions Pearl Jam, Janet Jackson (why?), and some soul singer I've never heard of.

The people who wrote it were probably
- a Pearl Jam fan
- a Janet Jackson fan, and
- a Soul fan

:lol:
Still, cool! I recall a book for English (in the Netherlands when I was a teacher for a while) that used Michael Jackson's Thriller. Kinda old fashioned...

groetjes,
Mirella :)

* fixed

It's strange that he chose to mention Nirvana over Pearl Jam anyway, but he's probably a huge fan. Maybe stip has seen over a script or two for text-books.

Kurt was a drug-addicted loser and a bad father.
