Hey Folks, since the recent leaks of some new GnR songs I started listening to the band again for the first time in a decade. Seems I still feel that Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 should have been combined into just one kick ass record.
I bet most people feel the same way so help me make one....rules are:
no more than 12-16 songs
the album must flow well
Here's what I have....though I am not really satisfied with it:
01. Right Next Door To Hell
02. Dust N' Bones
03. Live And Let Die
04. Don't Cry (Original)
05. Perfect Crime
06. Back Off Bitch
07. November Rain
08. Garden Of Eden
09. Don't Damn Me
10. Bad Apples
11. Civil War
12. 14 Years
13. Yesterdays
14. Estranged
15. You Could Be Mine
oh and if you hate GnR no need to post...we all know Axl is a douche....even Axl knows he's a douche.

Just can't be done IMO..... the Illusions' are fantastic as they stand minus "My world" That song is just god awful! If I had to list my favorites it would be as follows in no particular order:
Bad Obsession
Locomotive
Estranged
Civil War
You Ain't The First
Coma
Double Talkin Jive
Dead Horse
November Rain
Breakdown
14 Years
Don't Cry

what's wrong with 2 cd's? if you can't pick the songs for one cd, then there probably was a reason behind releasing them as I & II...
According to an interview Axl gave last year, UYI was made into 2 albums basically to please Izzy & Slash, who each wanted to make a solo record. 1/3 of UYI is Slash's material, 1/3 is Izzy's, and the final 3rd is Axl's.

also, if it was released as a single album it would be one of the best ever.

I've tried making a mix tape like this a few times, but I always have a hard time deciding which songs to leave off, since there's a ton of great ones. I'll probably try and do this when I get home, though, but I know for sure it wouldn't include either of the covers, "My World," or the UYI II version of "Don't Cry."

Well after giving both albums a quick listen, here's the mix I came up with:
1. Civil War
2. Dust 'N' Bones
3. Yesterdays
4. Don't Cry (original)
5. You Could Be Mine
6. Bad Obsession
7. November Rain
8. 14 Years
9. Locomotive
10. Perfect Crime
11. Estranged
12. Coma
13. You Ain't the First

1. Civil War 2. Dust 'N' Bones 3. Yesterdays 4. Don't Cry (original) 5. You Could Be Mine 6. Bad Obsession 7. November Rain 8. 14 Years 9. Locomotive 10. Perfect Crime 11. Estranged 12. Coma 13. You Ain't the First
hmmm not bad...though I don't know about having two really long songs (Estranged and Coma) back to back...sometimes I love those two songs and sometimes they bore me. I agree about cutting the covers...I love You Ain't First as the closer though. I'm gonna steal some of this!

Well the reason I put them together was because, quite frankly, that's the only place I thought they could fit while keeping a good flow. Plus I liked how the fade-out of "Estranged" merged into the heartbeat of "Coma."
