I think Bill Simmons was just seen jumping off a bridge somewhere in Boston.

Unbelievable that the NW got the top 2 picks. Both teams are playoff bound in 2008. Sonics fans are going to go nuts about keeping them here now...wow....

Knick fans everywhere just breathed a huge sigh of relief. We still suck...but at least we don't have to gift wrap another dynasty to the bulls.

Sucks for Boston. Their fans can comfort themselves with the knowledge that Doc isn't going anywhere. At least they still have some good young players. Memphis fans....well there's about 10 of them so I don't feel so bad for them.

We had a 50 percent shot at atleast the No. 1 or 2 pick. The worst pick we could have gotten was No. 5 and we got 5.

The Celtics had the second worst record, thus is reality should have had the second pick in the draft, which means they would either get either oden and durant, the two clear best players in the draft. But because of the lottery system that the nba uses they got the fifth pick.

simmons will be fine (sox are up 7-2), but i'm sure he'll have something witty to explain all this.

Tough week to be a suns fan. Could have had as high as the 4 pick and gotten someone to put us over the top, but instead they don't get Atlanta's pick until next year, when there won't be nearly as many good draftees. I think we won't see Marion in a suns uniform again...

Dream scenario:

Portland takes Greg Oden.

Sonics sign Kevin Durant and instantly realize they can't afford to keep him if they stay in Seattle --> Make immediate plans to move to OKC.

Paul Allen blazes a trail to Renton, and B. Roy switches his jersey to #3 now that Juan Dixon is gone.

Seattle/Renton Trailblazers win the 2010 NBA championship. Oden/Roy co-MVP's.

Portland has LaMarcus Aldridge entrenched at the #4 spot. It's a no-brainer for them.

Knicks dont have to live with the pain of losing Oden or Durant. so thats good.

so Portland takes Oden and how long before his first arrest?

No. They put him at the 3. They're going to make every effort to resign him, that's what Lenny Wilkens said on the radio about 5 minutes ago, FWIW.

yup...we simply have to deal with the same pain we've been living with since Layden took over. I guess I'm getting used to it.
