The ending of It's a Wonderful Life.
"A toast to my big brother George: The richest man in town."

Can we possibly determine what the single best scene in movie history is? I don't think so. Depending on my mood, it ranges from "the power of Christ compels you" from the Exorcist to "Your mother!" from Ghostbusters. It's just impossible.
Right now, I'd say it's "You're all clear, kid, now let's blow this thing and go home" but I'm waxing a bit nostalgic at the moment.

For all the shit this movie gets, I still say it's one of the greats. Cynics can go to Hades.
In regards to your earlier post, yes, we can pick the best scene in all of theatre. This is it. Nothing beats the ending of It's A Wonderful Life. I don't care what mood you're in. If this doesn't give you a beaming smile, you're not human.
