First off i get the impression that most people develop a realtionship with Pj where they love them so much they feel more comfortable with picking out their faults...the same way that you may tell a distant cousin that their poetry is 'okay' when it sucks, whilst you may feel more comfortable in openly telling your best friend that their new poem is 'awful and cringeworthy'.

I've noticed that a lot of people round here aren't shy about voicing which songs they don't like or can't get into. I'm curious as to how these people react when said song is played in a live setting...Personally, if i hear a song live that i definitely would not choose to listen to at home, i'd still probably get caught up in the moment and dance, clap, cheer and sing along. That said i've heard a lot of people refer to songs as piss breaks and 'boring' ..so do you quite happily just stand still and wait for it to finish?

Dirtyfrank, do you 'get into' Evenflow/Ten songs live? Stip, do you sing and clap along to Thin Air? Pearljamfan80, do you sway and croon emphatically to Wishlist, and applaud and cheer at the end? (I hope you don't mind me picking you guys out, these were just the most obvious examples i could think of)

How about everyone else?

I get into about every song. I don't really like a lot of the earlier hits but the excitement from the crowd gets me excited too.

i've done the piss break for daughter. and truthfully, i regret it in hindsight. to a degree, you have to take whatever they offer at a show because who knows if they'll be here a week, year, or decade from now.

Wishlist at my first show was the only time, other than the encore break or when Ed asked everyone to sit down at SD, that I was seated at a PJ concert.

I would probably take a bathroom break, even if I didn't need one, if they played Leash. They have some other songs that I'm not really fond of, but I'd stay and listen.

I saw them only twice, and I'm not sure I'll be able to see them again, so yeah I enjoyed every moment of the shows, even Life Wasted

- On my second show I went to the toilet during the Even Flow solo, but that was because it was very urgent. the London (Ontario) pre-party was insane, with the girls of Sleater-Kinney coming to the pub and all. :P

- In Ottawa I was yawning during Crazy Mary and thinking that it was a little bit ruining an otherwise very nice evening.

- In Antwerp Unemployable was very much welcome as a break from screaming for me. After In Hiding, before Given to fly.

- In Paris I used Dissident-Unemployable to try and free myself from the most insane mosh pit I've ever witnessed (first 5 rows, first 5 songs), to go to the back, drink something and try and breath a little, which I hadn't done the last 15 minutes. I recovered just in time for Marker, but at this point I can't even remember seeing Dissident & Unemployable in Paris.

unless a song i really dislike is the opening song, the bad apples have never bothered me live. once you're into show mode almost anything goes.

Live all songs are at least fun.

Yeah I get pretty much excited for almost anything, even if its a song I would never listen to by choice. Chances are I still know the words, and I'm at a concert to have a good time, not make a statement against a song I don't particularly like. This is pretty true at any concert I go to.

I'm not a fan of spin the black circle at all, but when they played it at the show I was at, i just rocked out to it like every other song they played. Once I'm actually at a show- as people have put it, I'm in "show mode" and am just happy to hear whatever they feel like playing next. but when I listen to it on the boot, i skip it every time.

There is only one song i really hate, Evacuation and I have never seen that live (seen 4 concerts) so I am not sure how i would react to that one.

Obviously i like some songs more than others but even Last Kiss is awesome live as the crowd gets into it and its a good sing along.

edit: spelling error

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel as well. But if I really have to take a piss and RVM or Even Flow begins, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be heading for the bathroom.

Yeah, I'm guilty of peeing during Even Flow. My brother was not pleased with me.

The best way I can say this is that when a song comes on that I don't particularly care if I hear, I just grin and bear it. They're easier to get into when you're surrounded by fans who are into it. Corduroy is the best example- I'm not particularly a fan of the song at all, but at a show it can be fun with other people.

I've taken piss breaks during Even Flow in the last few shows I've seen, but always with the goal that I make it back for the start of the solo if at all possible.

I've seen Dissident twice, and I was dissapointed both times.

I just don't like that song, here I said it. Aaahh that feels good......:D

During the tour last summer the two songs I dreaded were Crazy Mary and Black, mainly because they were played a lot and because they were very long. I especially disliked CM because they could have actually, y'know, played one of their own songs instead of letting Boom have his little organ wankfest. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I heard it once too often during the tour - same with Black. That said, I still sang along to them.

And yeah, this might come across as slightly ungrateful and I do realise that the band have to cater to people who aren't freaks like me who follow them on multiple dates but I'm just answering the question truthfully. The only time I did resort to screaming at the stage for someone to get off was twice - Paddy Casey in Dublin and MMJ in Madrid.
