Season 2: Generations Begins September 24, 2007
You could potential call this a spoiler, but it's minor and not very exciting. Just an excuse to start the Season Two thread.
Descriptions of New Characters for Season 2 Posted on Thursday, May 24th, 2007 at 11:08 am by Sam
Season 2 hasn’t even started production yet, but Reuters claims to have descriptions of some new Heroes that will be showing up in Season 2. The article says that Heroes will be introducing at least four new, mostly International Heroes, including “a sexy boyfriend for everyone’s favorite cheerleader, Claireâ€.
Also potentially joining the cast of characters on “Heroes†next season are a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki’s (Ali Larter) son, an Irish mobster and a twentysomething Latina. It is believed that most of these characters will only do arcs on the show rather than become regulars.
Some of these characters have been mentioned before, but they were supposed to show up in Season 1. Actually, a lot of characters that were mentioned (didn’t someone say something about a Paris Hilton-type character supposedly showing up in the Season 1 finale?) never appeared, so we’ll just have to take this with a grain of salt.

A little more detail on the new characters from the same site:
Quote:
* The yet-to-be-titled Season 2 premiere will introduce new series regular Maya, a Hispanic woman in her mid 20s. Could she be linked with Alejandro who’ll recur next season?
* The episode will also introduce Kane, a recurring character that may become a possible regular. This man in his late 20s is referred, in the info we were given, as an ageless American with an European feel. He is said to be a charming womanizer who as a soul that seems to be older than he appears to be.
* A new Japanese recurring female character will be named Princess Keriyama.
* A few high school characters living in California will be added to the recurring cast. They are: Gay cheerleader April; charming 18-year-old West, who doesn’t fit in much; May, a mean cheerleader high schooler.
* Other recurring characters making their first appearances in the premiere are: Georgie and Blackie, two Irish thieves, who are under orders of 45ish ringleader Ricky; friendly 40-year-old mild-mannered Bob who is said to be the “unassuming face of a very powerful organizationâ€; NYPD detective Kincaid.
* The second episode will introduce new regular Monica. She is a beautiful African-American in her late 20s. She is very kind to people and always thinks of them before taking care of herself.

i picked up the season 1 dvd yesterday, and besides the unaired pilot being very interesting, some of the deleted scenes really pieced some things together.
as for season 2, if interested there seem to be a fair amount of spoilers here
