I was just looking through the LIVE section & noticed the many props to the Boston / MA / New England fans & thought we needed our oun thread.

I've been to 14 Shows (9 in and around MA) and these shows are the best. I was in Canada for 2 shows, NYC for 2, and PA for one. The crowd in MA kick the shit out of any other crowd, as I'm sure you can all tell from the bootlegs too.

The Albany / MSG shows were heavy with Boston folk too. (Lots of sox / pats stuff)

Some defining moments to back me up:

Alive Boston I 03
Baba Boston I 03
Wishlist Boston III 03
Alive Albany 06
Why Go Hartford 06

and most of all

Betterman Boston III 2003.

This was the sublime moment of my entire pearl jam concert going expierance.

The band feeds off us, and we them in return. They will sell out every show they every play around here for ever.

GO SOX !

AMEN brotha!

One of the best Boston moments captured on a bootleg is Release from night 1 '06. The crowd singing along is absolutely deafening, I've never heard anything like it. You don't realize it when you're there because your body is in a state of Nirvana to notice anything else.
And who could forget Leash? The energy in that room for that brief second was out of this world. There was some feeling of unity between every fucking person there.

9/29/04 Black = unforgettable rendition. totally intimate. killer closing, you could see Ed getting a bit emotional.

7/11/03 Tremor Christ = downright sick. nobody expected this one. Betterman was also great as well. I thought the best song that night was easily Jeremy. Wow. Everybody was going apeshit.

I still thought the '06 shows had the best crowd out of any Boston show. I'm glad you there too.

Either PD is having a bad day, or he just solidified himself as a jackass.

So, you think fitzy is a Michael Fitzpatrick, or a Patrick Fitzmichael?

He seems to be a Little Patrick Fitzpalm.

Good idea for a thread.

Best Boston PJ memory: Ed ripping a hole in the stage during my first ever live concert experience (of any kind) inside the Boston Garden in April 1994.

I remember thinking..."He just put a hole through the stage. Who is this fuckin' guy?"

WRONG

CORRECT.

I had my first shows last year and there were several amazing moments for me: the celebration of Bob Dylan's birthday, the debut of Parachutes, the return of Leash, the singalongs to Elderly Woman and Black, the crowd participation in Alive, getting a great version of Jeremy after being so disappointed by ones I had heard on bootlegs, the little girl requesting Smile, Eddie's solo version of Porch followed by his performance with My Morning Jacket and so on. I could point out great little things, ways lines were sung or various bits of talk, and continue to do so forever. The best part of all however was knowing that I was in a great crowd and that the band appreciated it.

Didn't you know that PJ never does amazing things live except when the play Boston? I mean I could go on for days and days about all of the unamazing stuff they do at other places.

Why the need to be a douche? The guy/girl was sharing how his/her first two PJ shows were awesome. Instead of being a prick why not just not post anything? Was this person saying something really offensive?
