As you can tell by that thread I made (about asking me sport-related questions), I don't follow too many sports. But this shouldn't be confused for me not liking sports. I actually considered majoring in sports psychology in college.

Over the years, I've come to appreciate almost every sport. I love hearing about and witnessing unbelievable athletic feats. I think people are too critical of some games, and I'm not sure why. They're all unique in their own way with something original to offer, even if it is being something that's fun to play with your friends. I've seen some pretty damn exciting tennis and soccer matches in my day, even at a high school level.

But there is some element about combat sports that amazes me and draws my undivided attention in a way that no other athletic competition can. I think I love the aspect of a one-on-one battle. I love the intense training involved with these sort of games, and I love how a bout can end instantly. I like the warrior tradition and the discipline of martial arts. Other sports just don't offer this sort of thing and, as great as they can be, I often find myself bored with them.

I'm just saying what's on my mind.

Does this have something to do with the fact that you throw a baseball like a little girl?

aside from the possibility of an unexpected out of the blue ending, you just described tennis.

That sentence about intensity is a thought on its own. "Other sports don't offer..." refers to the sentence before it. The one you didn't bold. That's why it says they "don't offer this sort of thing," rather than, "they don't offer these sorts of things."

that kid, warehouse...always bustin my chops
