It's just how the softball atmosphere is. Find a decent high school program and it's the same way. I've seen ASA (American Softball Association, the AAU of softball) and that's how it's done. It is odd to the random observer, and I can understand that.

usually a womans attractiveness goes up for me just because they play sports. same goes for video games and stuff alot of the time

I have a female family member who is a pro golfer and she says that the whole lesbian golfer thing is overblown. She guesses that lesbians make up only about 25% to 30% of pro golfers. She also says Phil Mickelson is a complete dick and he and his wife are swingers.
