I can't wait to have the results spoiled again by large-font ESPN.com headlines.

2007 WSOP already? geez time flies.

Phil ivey needs this badly. He's been at the final table waaayy too many times.

and my main man..the one...the only...THE KID....DANIEL NEGRANEAU

i'm sick of these no-names winning big.

I'd like to see either of those two win it all this year.

thats why i dont like the main event as much, there are so many no names entered that its almost impossible to have a real good final table.

People like Chris Moneymaker make me agree with you. No name fluke. But people like Greg Raymer make me think that it's sometimes fun to watch a great player you've never heard of before.

It's not a spoiler when you watch the final table live on espn pay-per view. I get the espn gameplan package free, so I get the live feed.

No pocket card cam with the live feed. They don't want players getting info at breaks from someone who could be watching.

I imagine a real life feed with pocket cam would be possible if they metal detect / heavily pat down those that wish to be in the audience. Also, you could have the final table players only be allowed into a certain room for break.
But I guess that would be too much of a pain in the ass.

raymer = good, haschem = good, moneymaker = bad, gold = lucky ass annoying prick.
i guess i just wish hey would cap the amount of non pros to be equal the # of pros or somehting, but then it wouldnt be the biggest purse in poker, unless they put TV money into it instead of just buy in money ( that is all that makes up the purse right? ) .

Yeah, that's what makes it the ultimate tournament. All the pros buy in, but anyone can buy in.

You always like seeing Kenna, Negranoe, Ivey etc at final tables. If there's chumps there, there's no personality/talent/excitement.

jamie gold is the type of person that even after he won the tournament and has all this money, he still has no friends.

how do you develop such a cocky attitude when you are obviously just getting super lucky. i mean how many times did he call with crap pocket cards because he had so much more then everyone else, then flop a full house, like 2s and 6s . you are not good you douche bag, you had a 3 day lucky as hell streak, thats all.

i think he may be my over all least favorite poker player, and i hope to not see him again, but most likely we will see a bunch of him atleast on the first day of this years main event.

not to defend jamie, but raymer had a somewhat similar streak in 2004. at least raymer was a good sport and kept to himself.

least favorite? jamie gold or matosow? matosow. although I tend to think that his attitude is just his signature act to gain publicity. jamie gold is just a douchebag 24/7.

Come on, you can come up with something better than that.

Much more enjoyable than a lot of more physical sports, especially when you know what's going on. Some great personalities (minus Gold like everyone's said previously) and I find it helpful for my own poker.

The only problem with watching it on TV is that it is so edited down that a lot of the nuance of the game is gone. basically all that they show is all-in hands or huge bluffs, etc. We don't see a lot of the art of the game and positional play because it would bore the general public.

as far as least favorite pros, there are a lot of unlikeable characters out there, and Gold is definitely near the top of that list. I enjoy watching Mike The Mouth just because his melt downs are so off the charts, and he's actually quite a good player, he just has a tendency to make bad decisions, ore get extremely unlucky, at the worst possible times.

My favorite is Negreanu. His game is the one I try to emulate the most, although I definitely tend to be a lot more tight.

kid poker is fun to watch for so many reasons, for one he is damn good, it amazes me sometimes how well he can read the other players and get himself out of a bad situation, or into a really good one. also he seems to be a real nice guy, but he can taunt at the table, but its never really nasty. and weather he is in the hand or not, alot of times he will just be entertaining to watch.
