posted this in the trading forum but thought i may get a good response here too :)

i am nearing time to buy a new computer and really thinking of going to mac for the first time. a few questions for those of you that have them...

1. any differences for trading purposes buring/ripping dvd's for trading (i use IMG tool and DVD decrypter)

2. can i connect my mac to a external hard drive that has windows files on it? (ie could i plug my external drive with FLAC's on in and move files between the mac and PC or does a mac external drive need to be formatted differently?)

3. anyone use the program that lets you use windows? i need it to run a work program that is windows based.

do i need to also purchase a copy of windows to install on it or does it come with that?

what type of mac do you recommend?

i was thikning lap top but they seem pricey so maybe a desktop is ok...

thanks :)

you need to format the external hard drive for mac/pc use. you have to do that in a mac. it's easy.
