Meh.

For the west I would go with

British Columbia, Edmonton, and even Calgary before going for Sask!

For the east I would go with,

Montreal, Toronto, or Winnipeg.

Meh, I'll stick with them. I've already got a couple of kick ass teams I root for(Ducks, USC, Dodgers), I suppose I could use a mediocre team or two. Go Roughriders!

Sask is like Ottawa, they both suck, and they both use to have the same Nickname. The Roughriders.

Now Ottawa are the Renegade

cfl.ca

(I have a local station in Utah that airs CBC/TSN broadcasts of the games during the season)

Preseason Week A:
MONTREAL @ TORONTO
Saturday Jun. 9, 2007

TORONTO (CFL.ca wire) -- Michael Bishop picked up where he left off in November.

The quarterback completed five of eight passes for 105 yards in the first quarter as the Toronto Argonauts won their pre-season opener against the Montreal Alouettes 27-13 at Rogers Centre.

The Argos drove 77 yards in their first possession, which featured a balanced passing, rushing as well as play-action attack. Michael Palmer had a 39-yard reception on the play action, and John Avery scored on a one-yard touchdown run following a pass interference penalty in the end zone. Avery also had a 25-yard run in the series.

Bishop looked strong, completing a 20-yard pass to Palmer later in the quarter, and a 43-yard strike to Arland Bruce III.

Bishop left the game in the second quarter and returned in the third, but was not as strong, finishing the game with seven pass completions on 13 attempts for 122 yards.

Bishop is competing with Damon Allen for the starting quarterback position. Bishop replaced an ineffective Allen in the East Semi-Final last November to rally the Argos past the Blue Bombers and almost did the same the following week against the Als in the East Championship.

Allen was benched for this game, and should play in the rematch on June 21 in Montreal.

Mike McMahon, a former NFL starting quarterback, was also impressive in his Argos debut, completing six of eight passes for 123 yards. He led a couple of touchdown drives, finished off by running back Jamal White on a 17-yard run and Josh Davis on a one-yard scamper.

Anthony Calvillo is set as Montreal’s starting pivot, and did not make the trip to Toronto. Back-up Marcus Brady started in his place, and scored the Alouettes’ only touchdown on a two-yard carry. Brady struggled, completing six of 15 passes for just 50 yards.

The top Montreal quarterback for the game was Will Proctor, who completed seven of eight passes for 84 yards.

It was a typical first pre-season game with a lot of players getting their reps. Twenty players caught passes for both clubs, with six quarterbacks lining up behind centre.

With Robert Edwards not dressed, the Als tried out a number of running backs. Andrew Hamilton had two carries for 21 yards, while Bruce Perry ran for 29 yards on four attempts, including an 18-yard run. Jarrett Payton, son of NFL legend Walter, did not fare as well, with zero yards on two attempts.

In a battle of back-up place kickers, Toronto’s Chris Hardy was good on two field goals on four attempts. Montreal receiver Dave Stala was also good on a 30-yard field goal.

There were seven turnovers with five committed by the Alouettes. T. J. Hill and D’Wayne Taylor recorded interceptions for Montreal, while Kenny Wheaton had the lone interception for Toronto.

Notes: It was Jim Popp’s first ever pre-season game as a CFL head coach despite coaching five games in the regular season and last year’s East Championship and Grey Cup…Stala struggled with three receptions for 18 yards despite a number of opportunities…there was one instant replay review in the third quarter on Yves Hercule’s forced fumble that was recovered by the Argos. The ruling on the field stood…a Bishop interception was overturned on an Als pass interference penalty.

Argos lose the opener. At least it was against the defending champs, and they played a good game. Optimistic about the run defence this year, at least compared to last year.

and of course Levingston with the 129 yard return after a missed field goal
