Hey, I know this draft is much more of a crapshoot than other professional leagues; but it's still very interesting to follow IMO. I thought I'd provide a few links.

There was a mock yesterday, here: http://www.minorleagueball.com/

You can see video and get info on loads of prospects here: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/events/draft_report/y2007/index.jsp?mc=wieters

Just use that drop down box under the picture to change players. At the very least you can watch the players your team drafted once Thursday comes.

Is anyone besides me really following it this year?

i pay attention every year... not following every pick, but checking at the end of each day to see who teams pick up and reading about who the sox grabbed. I think this year will be the first time the draft is aired live on TV (espn 2?) so that's exciting.

I was going to watch this, but I forgot about the wet paint drying Thursday night.

I'm going to go ahead and watch the latter.

I pay a little notice to where the top college arms go, but that's about it. For every Tim Lincecum there are 10 Ryan Wagners.

Another awesome draft for the Tigers. They just keep stockpiling players and arms. The past four years have produced Justin Verlander, Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, and Rick Porcello (who was said to be the best all-around pitcher in the draft -- now let's just hope that they can sign him).

Well played Mr. Dombrowski, well played indeed.

I'm still pissed the Astros didn't take Kyle Russell. They had the number 141 and he went at 142.

I think the Giants probably made out the best in the draft, with three picks in the first round. And they made some great picks.
But you never know about these kids, they take much longer to get into the show than in other sports, which is why the baseball draft is usually less interesting. You make a pick, and then might not see the kid on your team for 5 years.

and I heard he was asking for $1 million. That's probably too rich for the Cardinals.
