Pre Preseason thoughts.

AFC West AFC North AFC South AFC East

Broncos Ravens Colts Patriots
Chargers Steelers Jags Jets
Chiefs Bengals Texans Dolphins
Raiders Browns Titans Buffalo

Wild Cards Chargers and Steelers.

NFC West NFC North NFC South NFC East
Seahawks Bears Saints Eagles
49ers Vikings Panthers Cowboys
Rams Lions Bucs Giants
Cards Pack Falcons Skins

Wild Cards Panthers and 49ers

It's just a list, no research, just off the top of my head. Much can change and all of this is hard to predict.

Might as well give this its own thread.

I like your picks overall, with a few changes:

--I don't see the Packers finishing last at all. In fact, I think they could compete with the Bears for the division title. They have done an excellent job rebuilding that team with young talent. Vikings could be a threat if AD starts tearing stuff up behind the left side of the O-line right away.

--The Bucs could be another team I see competing for a wild card. I think the good times might be over for the Panthers.

I definitely like your picks of the 49ers in the playoffs (they could take the division), as well as Tennessee possibly finishing last (Hey EllisEamos, you want a QB whose injury odds are high, go with VY).

Also, the AFC North looks to be one huge crapshoot. I could see all four teams do really well or completely sucking.

Patriots, then everybody else. It sounds homer-ish, but the Pats are stacked this year. Gonna be fun. My only concern, really, is whether or not Maroney can stand the pounding of being the every down back.

My only predicition is that the Cowboys will not get a Top 5 pick in the draft from Cleveland next year.

WTF?

Have you seen San Diego's schedule again? Hell, their first 5 games alone are brutal compared to most teams' entire 16-game schedule.

Last year was the best team in the league, bombed in the first round, change the uniforms. Sound familiar?

Sure does. Does this mean you also have the Chargers waltzing into Mile High and pulling off the win a la the famous game at Arrowhead in the 1997 playoffs?

That would sure be painful for us. :(

Chicago? KC?

I'm not sure what you mean by your post.

My point was, I agree with your prediction -- if SD makes it, it won't be as a West winner. Their first 5 games have them going 3 times zones against GB, NE, and Denver, and at home against Chicago and KC. That's brutal.

I'm mainly saying I don't think Chicago and KC are going to be that great, the other 3 games I'll agree, those are 3 very tough games.

KC always plays the divisional rivals hard, even though I do think they will suck this year. The Bears should still be a fine opponent.

I really don't know what's going to happen with SD. They have the pure talent to win it all, but Norv Turner was quite possibly the worst hire for head coach they could find.

Yeah I don't really get it either, but I have a feeling this team will be so furious over last year they'll be out for revenge.

The Bears I'm really not sold on, they seem to be falling apart, and unless Rex Grossman gets more consistent, I think this will be a down year for Chicago.

I'm a bit of a homer but I really think the Cardinals will surprise and fight for a wild card. It's tough because the niners got better but we have had their number the last few years. Coach Wiz will finally get this team playing disciplined, team football. That was really lacking under Green.

I would not have a problem with this.

Wow, we finally have a Cardinals fan? Looks like I'll have to go update the RM NFL supporters thread.

The Cards have drafted some incredible young talent over the years, but their offensive line save Taitusi Lutui still blows. Until they get that fixed, I don't see them getting better.
