You know as a frequent reader of posts on this forum, there are some shows/songs/albums that get praise where I just don't get it. Equally there's stuff that never gets talked about which I love. Here's a few examples. What are yours?
Too Much Praise
B.Hall - I just don't understand the love for this. Firstly the sound is bad, reallly echoy. Secondly the band are under rehearsed and the amount of flubs is pretty unforgiveable. I mean All or None is just embarassing. Around The Bend is all over the place rhythm wise. It may have been a nice show to attend, but to release it, and for people to be scrambling for the vinyl version was always an eye opener for me.
Half Full - Some see this as the high point of Riot Act. For me it's one of the bands worst songs, with lyrics that seem made up on the spot.
Too Little….
Unemployable - One of the most melodic songs the band has done…Thrashes anything on Riot Act
Paris 06 - My god what a show, what a boot. Sadly underappreciated.

it's in my top 2 and in my worst 2 too
I've explained before why it's there. It's mostly circumstances that totally ruined my experience of the first 10 songs. Then I went to stand totally in the back and enjoyed the show way more.
Not For You of that show is the best I've ever heard since 1994.

Benaroya is quite possibly my favourite boot, and if not it's certainly top 3.
That particular version of All or None is probably my favourite song on the boot.
You say pot-ah-to, I say pot-A-to.
And that's

Too much: No Code. Was really pumped to get new stuff back then and was pretty disappointed in alot of songs. There is some good stuff but overall disappointed. The only album I can say I don' t get into at all.
Too little: Binaural. I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did and still do. It seems to not get much praise but I really dig this album.

Too Much:
No Code - An uneven adventure at best. Or maybe I still don't get it.
Ed's recent singing - I see heaps of praises for it but realistically it's a shadow of what it once was. He's still good but he used to be phenominal.
Length of live shows - The three hour show is not the norm, please stop acting like it is.
Constantly changing setlist - I'm torn on this. I like it but there are bar bands that have constantly changing setlists that make fewr mistakes. I guess it's part of Pearl Jam's charm.
Mike's Black solos - he's gotten so high pitched and squeeky lately.
Ed's solo song(s) in the encore - I could do without 90% of these. Would prefer them to be Stone or Mike or Jeff on acoustic and Ed singing.
Too Little:
Ten - This is a masterpiece and the album that let Pearl Jam dictate their own career path.
Mike's songwriting - He's become the most consistent writer of good songs in the band.
Jeff - He just keeps doing his thing and flying under the radar. Does not get the props he deserves.
Passion of the live shows - These guys give 'er every night.
Ed's preset song(s) - I love this thanks for coming out early. Wish these were on the bootlegs.
