heh, yes, we have a federal election this year. few on here would care if i posted about aussie politics, american politics are quite influential here, and besides, i probably spend more of my day engaging in aussie politics than i do posting on rm, for the record.

I think he would have to feel as close to sure that he would win the primary as possible. Being that this is looking ultra-competitive right now, I think it isn't looking good so far. The last thing on earth he wants to do is to come back and not even win the primary.
The ironic thing is he's probably run the best "campaign" of anybody so far, despite not actually running.

i say he will run . i see him letting all current candidates beat up on each other then throw his hat in the ring. But , he will lose again. unless he thinks this global warming crap is gonna win him an election.

we can start talking about it anytime you want because all the election hasn't been called yet it is safe to say that both major parties are in campaign mode

one theory i've heard is that gore will only weigh in if it looks like hillary is going to take it, but he's happy to stay out if obama is the man.
just a theory

Perhaps, but I think a more likely scenario of Gore getting in would entail Hillary stumbling big time....thus making room for his candidacy. She is running a very strong campaign, and I have a feeling that Gore isn't interested in getting involved in a massive battle for the Democratic nomination. If the Democrat field was as open as the Republican one is, I think Gore would jump in in a heatbeat.
