so i just bought a PNY nvidia GeForce 8600gt video card and I noticed that it requires a minimum 350W power supply. My computer only has a 300W power supply. I'm not running anything too extreme in it (200gb hard drive, 1 dvd/cd combo drive, no soundcard (it has onboard sound) and 1.7ish gigs of ram) - is installing the video card until I find a proper power supply going to cause any trouble?

i dont think theres any right answer for this. it may work until you can get a new power supply in there, but it may also go up in flames. to be on the safe side, id wait
