Could Bill Really Get Killed Again?

Among news I didn’t expect to hear, this ranks very highly. E. Bennet Walsh, the executive producer of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, has mentioned that QT has worked up some plots for a two-volume sequel to his brilliant revenge epic. Walsh went even further in stating that Tarantino may soon be returning to China to start shooting scenes, according to a news item on Film Ick.

There’s a bit more to tell, but I’ve included it after the click. There’s not a whole lot, little more the budget line synopses of each volume, but the info does fall into the realm of “spoiler” if you want to remain completely pure. Click through then at your own risk.

Here are the plot details, as Film Ick describes it:

Part 3 would revolve around the revenge of two members of the Crazy 88s. Part 4 would focus on the daughters of Beatrix Kiddo and Vernita Green getting square, as was previously rumoured. Some even claim that the (previously unrevealed) daughters of Elle Driver and Gogo Yubari would also feature.

A few things remain unclear. Would the two Crazy 88s members be looking for revenge on Kiddo for mutilating them? That would be my guess, but there are certainly no shortage of alternatives. The setup for volume 4 came across clearly enough in the original films, and it could inform volume three. Perhaps Beatrix Kiddo has died in the intervening years between volumes three and four. That would offer one explanation as to why Green’s daughter would go after Kiddo’s daughter instead of Kiddo herself. Those Crazy 88s could then be seeking the same sort of revenge on Kiddo’s daughter as well.

The Vol. 4 rumor is nothing new, however, Vol. 3 info is new to me.

You can take this to the bank, it won't happen.

For Kill Bill fans though, you can get excited about the 4 dvd set "Kill Bill - the Whole Bloody Affair" that is coming out in November. I know I am.

The Vol. 4 plot was discussed on Headline news. I wouldn't totally discredit this.

I think it would be great. I love the character of The Bride/Beatrix and enjoyed those movies thoroughly. I almost popped in the DVDs the other night, I might have to again sometime soon. I just always cringe when she gets shot in the head, it's so brutal. QT hit those ones out of the ballpark, in my opinion.

I doubt it'll happen, and I'm fine with that.

Oh, I read the news articles and I'm not debating that the discussion of these movies and this plot hasn't happened. I'm just saying as a long time Tarantino fan that he talks shit up like this all the time and it simply isn't going to happen. Vega brothers anyone? Trust me, it won't happen. If it does, his involvement will be in name only.

Can't wait for that dvd though, that's a first day purchase for sure.

i think i remember seeing an article (around when grindhouse came out i think) where he said they are simply too old now and it would never work even though it was a good idea.

Just watched Vol. 1 & 2 last night, and I have to say that this story has one of the most satisfying endings I've seen in a long time. Everyone that deserves an ass kicking, or a beheading, or what have you gets it in the end. Bonus, Beatrix gets her kid back, which she didn't even know was still alive. If they continue the saga, I hope they do it justice.

If it's the comic book/animated thing they were talking about previously then go for it. If it's something that is going to keep QT busy for years when he could be working on some other movie, then please don't do it. I think the movie/movies are perfect just the way they are.
