Im about to head out to a bar and just ran back to my hostel to shower first, but a brief synopsis:

Every time i think i dont need to see this band live anymore they do something like this. last year it was grand rapids, this year its copenhagen. setlist highlights included breath, hti, a gorgeous version of black, once, and reign o'er me, but more than any individual song, this show was about healing and reconciliation. the band is such a class act that they chose to address roskilde directly at two points on the show...eddie's main speech about it was at the start of the second encore, where he talked about loss, pain, and growth, and thanked the families of those who died at roskilde who had chosen to attend the show...he said he thought there was some healing going on at the show, and i couldn't agree more. it hit me the hardest when they played alive...something about them playing that song in copenhagen after they'd left it off almost the entire 2000 NA tour because of roskilde. redemption is overused word when it comes to rock n' roll, but there was something like it going on in copenhagen tonight.

just a beautiful version of Hard To Imagine as well. first time it was played in the main set, first time ever played outside of north america, with a really pretty understated solo by mike at the end. unbelievably, ive been lucky enough to see this song live 3 times, and each time its affected me in a profoundly different way. in copenhagen the sense of irretrievable loss that runs through the song fit so well with the night...just beautiful.

Black really was gorgeous indeed. There's always times I think "yeah, another version of Black..." There's lots of times I just skip the song on bootlegs, but hearing it live... aaaah, it's so special. I had Ottawa 05, I had Dublin, Antwerp & Marseille last year, I had Copenhagen 07. I feel lucky. :)

My full Copenhagen review will probably have to wait till at least Sunday.

any information on where to download this boot would be greatly appreciated... we know someone has it, where else would that version of LROM come from?

The upside:

I audio taped this show on MiniDisc from 2nd row directly in front of an onstage speaker on Stone's side. It sounds fuckin' great, with minimal crowd noise, although Mc Cready's a little low, but the vocals are loud and crisp. It's a complete recording.

The downside:

It's still sitting on MiniDisc, and I have time to make up at work (the flipside of getting the time off to tour). It'll take me a few weeks to get it onto CDR. If no other recordings come online in the meantime (or inferior recordings surface), mine will be circulated.

It may be redundant anyway: I can't believe a DVD won't surface. If a DVD is in the works, can the taper contact me-you may want my audio for it.

Randall

EDIT:
I also taped Munich. It's above average, but needs editing because HINNY couldn't control himself between songs :P I haven't downloaded the available Munich show yet. If it's better than mine, I won't waste time transferring it to CD. If mine's better, and people want an upgrade, I'll do it. My recording is complete.

I also taped London. This sounds better than Munich, with quite minimal crowd noise. It has some issues with 'breathing' at the start of the set (kind of hard to describe, but it's not really that notice-able)-this is due to how Cameron's kick drum was mic-ed up to the PA, but resolves pretty early on. I believe an incomplete DVD is going to surface. If those tapers want my audio, let me know. My recording is complete.
I don't know if a recording of London has surfaced-if so, feel free to PM so I can download it and do a comparison. If someone has a better copy, I won't waste time putting mine onto CD.

I've seen Pearl Jam 9 times and I have yet to hear Hard To Imagine. This fact saddens me.

The show is on Dime and the Traders Den. It is an EXCELLENT recording. As good as any Basecamp recording IMO.

The show is amazing. Maybe one of their 10 best ever.

"a bad time, nothing could save him...... you could"

I didn't even notice this during the show. Eddie probably talking about the audience saving him. Nice!

Takes the reason why GTF was played at Copenhagen (next to it being played at every show) to a whole different level. The song meaning fits Eddie's speech at the end of the gig perfectly.
