I wouldn't expect anything more from a major, mainstream music magazine. I don't agree, but seeing where PJ was and where they are now and how RS does things...it looks to me like they were being generous
no code actually got 4 stars not 3....ive got the issue here. they mustve typed it wrong online.
and i believe VS got 5 stars. i know RVM got 4...
Well, that's why Rolling Stone is kind of ridiculous.
These ratings are from their 2004 album guide, which is a 1000 page review of thousands of albums.
Yes the ratings often change from the original review in the magazine(and probably differ from their online rating, also).
Yes some ratings have changed since the last edition ('92) of the album guide.
For example, Don Henley's Building the Perfect Beast was a 5-star album in '92 ("the perfect pop album"). Something happened since then, it has 2½ stars now.

Yeild and No Code got 3 stars?
Suck my balls, bitches.
Yah my buddies always give me shit becaue PJ did not have a single song on Billboards top 500!!!! And whenevr Boston plays on the radio at work, they remind me that more than a feeling is number 500 according to Billboard, thus making, in billboards eyes, boston better than PJ
