Do you have a really bad memory, or past heartache, that you would prefer to forget?

Researchers at Harvard and McGill University (in Montreal) are working on an amnesia drug that blocks or deletes bad memories. The technique seems to allow psychiatrists to disrupt the biochemical pathways that allow a memory to be recalled.

I don't know if I agree with this. Memories can be traumatizing, but they are also what forms us as human beings. Who's to say the when they take the memory, a little bit of the person doesn't go with it? It just seems like we're not even close to seeing the whole iceberg on this one.

i guess people can do what they want... but yeah i know i could never do this.

that's kind of scary. however if this really works, it might help rape victims etc. cope with life again.
