My first attempt ever at writing a Shakespearean Sonnet? Written in 20 mintues because I want to go to bed, but have to write this for my English class? Yeah.
Sonnet One
I birthed thee on a cold and rainy night
Child of mine so near and dear to me
Yet physically you did not yet take flight
Thou were the offspring I could not yet see.
The labor of my hand and mind in one
Flowing forth of my self and my being
Made thou the thing that thou hast now become
Yet I still whole, simply was a freeing.
Alas the winter months hath made me cold
Though all the embers hath burnt out of me.
I tell to thee a lie that is so old
Have time I still may doth I say to thee
Yet If I come to pass away my friend
I live in you and therefore last till end.
