I know I want 42". I know I want 1080p. I know I want to hang it on my wall. I'm not too worried about the $300 difference in price.
Which TV do you think I should go for?

42" Sharp Aquos (1080p) Widescreen LCD TV

or

42" Philips Full HD (1080p) Widescreen LCD TV

I'd go with the Phillips.

i'd upgrade 4 inches and a few hundred dollars and go for this: Samsung LNT4665F 46" 1080p LCD HDTV
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT4665F- ... 235&sr=8-1
it seems to be the best-reviewed lcd on the market right now.

While I don't mind dropping an extra $300 to get the Aquios if it was a better machine (though it appears not to be), I'm not dropping $2300 for a 4 inch bump if no one can trash the Philips at $1300.
