well it was pretty good until they pulled out the "mole in CTU" angle for THE THIRD TIME IN FOUR SEASONS
i'd be surprised if she was really working for the terrorists, but that would also be a retread of gael in season 3 so i agree with you that it is a very tired storyline. i still think that this is the best first quarter of any of the seasons.

that episode rocked!
tony is supposed to come back in the 7th episode or so.
President Palmer is supposed to be back for 7 episodes, i think it's the last 7 of this season.
Michelle is also going to come back for one I believe.
Next week looks exciting. I'm thinking that the Araz dad might end up killing the mother and son. Because from what I saw the mother is going to help the son. And the dad probably won't be too happy with that.
I trying to figure out what the former husband of the Secretary's Daughter might do now that it's over between them. he seems a little pissed and he might end up doing something big.
another mole! great. i knew i didn't like that lady.

I agree. I'm willing to give the writers the benefit of the doubt, since the season's been pretty good thus far. But, if she is a mole working for the terrorists, all bets are off and I will resume my characteristic 24 bashing.

I hope Beyruz drives straight to the police. I think they made it clear that his loyalty is not with the terrorists (or with his parents, after finding out his dad tried to have him killed). I think both Beyruz and Mom are pretty pissed at Dad at this point...
I totally agree that Marianne is the worst character ever. I want to go shoot her myself.

But that would be the choice a rational person would make. The characters on 24 aren't rational people.
My only comment on last night's episode is DoD's son... if he's holding something, it better be worthwhile, if not, that's just lame (having the character hold out some frivolous piece of info).

Definately. He better have a worthwhile piece of information.

did you just say that it's been good?
Relatively, yes. Maybe it's because good things are happening: like Chloe leaving, lack of focus on Edgar and Driscoll (I just realized her daughter wasn't even mentioned--good stuff). The unfortunate thing is that Sherry Palmer is back.....in the form of Aisha Tyler.

what pisses me off about the running "mole-in-ctu story is that this is one of thee top level government agencies....so how the fuck do they keep hiring people who turn out to be working for the terrorists in every season?
I mean, does ANYONE do a fucking background check on anyone before they hire them?

I just started watching 24 at the end of last season and thought it was a fun show, so I started with the first one this season -- finally surrendering to the hype -- and I must say that this has been excellent. Bayruz' decision on what to do next will be interesting.
Also, FYI, i download these via bit torrent (my wife dominates the TV). It's great watching with no commercials, also if you're looking for a show to get into check out Battlestar Galatica, it has been so good it's silly. I saw the season finale (13 show run) last night (it's been airing in England for a few months) and it was one of the best hours of TV i've seen in a long, long time. The show has been outstanding.
