I've said it before and I'll say it again, your first clue that it's going to suck is that it's coming out in January.

I know where you're coming from, but that's not necessarily true. Holiday movies are all about Oscar contenders and kids, and this one obviously isn't vying to be included in either category. And sometimes studios will hold a decent flick off until early in the next year because it has no competition. Remember that 300 was released in March this year, and I wouldn't say that sucked at all.

March is a mixed bag but January is generally a dumping ground, unless you're an Oscar contender that's back in theaters or expanding to get some attention.
I guess what I'm saying is that for what looks to be a summer blockbuster type of FX movie releasing it at that time of year doesn't show much confidence. And I'm not really buying into the marketing of a movie where they won't even tell me the name or the plot. Maybe I'll be totally wrong but so far I'm not excited.

its getting buzz because people don't know what its called or what its about. there might be other trailers, not sure, there's tons of crap about it on youtube, probably all fan-made. the working title right now is Cloverfield. its a monster movie, not much else is known.
