And I don't know why. It doesn't matter which player I use it's the same story. It's only happened today. Anyone know what to do?

Skip that, it's everything media related, youtube and other video sites. The sound is all over the place.

What other programs are you running?

Hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete, click Processes, then Mem Usage twice. Take a screenshot and post it.

There's a bunch of stuff on there you could get rid of (depending on your personal preferences).

aawservice.exe (disable real-time monitoring in Ad-Aware)
GoogleWebAccCli.exe (I'm guessing it really doesn't accelerate your browsing speeds that much)
GoogleWebAccW... (same)
cfosspeed.exe (same)
QTTask.exe (disable QuickTime from running in the system tray)
radrcmp.exe (not sure what this is)
naomf.exe (Naomi Internet filtering service?)

Do you have Nero running--and are you burning anything?

How much RAM do you have?

I've got 512, which I'll be increasing in the future.

I tried stopping a few of those programmes, but to no avail.

I re-started and stopped a few of the programmes, that's did the trick. thanks.

Maybe 3 or 4 times a week
