I heard that whole soundcheck last year. Ed and MMJ did soundcheck that Who tune they played together that night. I do remember that, and the rest of the soundcheck. I don't recall hearing 'Rival'. The aul memory ain't the best though...

There are a couple of soundscheck very cool but It`s sad to me when they play songs like "Rival" or "All those Yesterdays" on the soundcheck, but not in the show. At leats, in this case they play "Tremor Christ",..what a great song

Tremor Christ was no more soundchecked in Torino than Rats was in Dusseldorf.. those were spur of the moment requests..

Tremor Christ WAS soundchecked in Torino. I heard it. Definitely. Ed made it sound spur of the moment coz of the flag. But I can tell ya with 100 pecent certainty it WAS soundchecked that day.

I'm so bad at recalling track lists, but I do recall being right there with you at the fence, listening . The Verona sound check was cool too, and Bern had Leaving Here.
groetjes, Mirella

oops, after verification, sorry, you're right apparently...can't recall hearing it though...and it was not on the setlist.
And despite the fact that people on boards said it was (someone texted me from the US about it before the show as she knew i wanted it), I still have to find of a first hand person that actually HEARD Rats soundchecked at Düsseldorf.. from Jeff and Stone reaction to Ed question, certainly didn't look like they had just soundchecked it (or from Ed 'wtf? is that all?' reaction when he saw the lyric sheet )

Yes, it definitively was. I was leaving the waiting line for the toilets, when I heard the opening riff and ran back to my friends. I know the guy with the Egyptian "Tremor Christ" flag (it was his 4th or 5th show with the flag) and told him "Tonight is your night". And it was. I also remember Leatherman and Nothingman, glad I made it to Praha to get the 5 Man songs in a row ! However I don't remember Rival, but these Euro 2006 soundchecks were great, the Verona being the best of the bunch: 1 hour of rarities played while we were in the 10C line...

If they would have played Parting Ways there (soundchecked), I would have probably killed myself, having cancelled my Italy trip the day after the Paris show.
