New York Giants soap opera ...now Strahan feels betrayed , give me a break !
Honor your contract dude ,dont expect the team to wait and see if you feel like playing or not .
I say dump him now , and show him who's the boss.
...and bring in Simeon Rice the same day !
we haven't won a super bowl with him , so who needs him .
thoughts ?

Strahan is/was a great player, but he's always been a selfish prick. If $8M isn't enough for you over the next two years, then take a hike.

The team will be ok with out him, hell he was injured for a lot of last year anyway right?

Uminyora will get the sand out of his vag eventually, and Rice would be nice for depth, but he's really getting old.

Strayhan is doing this because he lost his ass on the divorce settlement.

The Giants don't owe him a cent more, he's got a fine contract for his services, he's just trying to find whatever leverage he can get while he can so he can afford to keep paying his wife and maintain his own lifestyle. (see Grady Jacksons lawsuit)

If he wants to quit he can quit and go do broadcasting or sell contact grills like George Forman, afterall he knows when to smile when the camera comes on.

8M a year is all he should be getting so if he dosen't want to come to practice he can pay the team back 14 grand a day or he can put his balls on the table and retire.

They've been collecting DEs for quite a while. Tuck and Kiwi should be perfectly fine replacing Strahan, even if they don't get Simeon.

yeah, but the plan was to move Kiwi to LB this year. If Strahan had indicated earlier he was considering retirement...then maybe they would have left Kiwi at DE. Of course his "retirement" plans are probably bullshit. I understand old guys like to hold out once in a while to avoid two-a-days...but the Giants have a new defensive coordinator this year. The guy needs to be in camp.

Why the hell would they move Kiwi to LB in a 4-3? That makes no sense.

they think he has the size/athleticism to play very well on the strong side (kind of like Emmons when he was in Philly).
