Eddie will be singing the 7th Inning Stretch on Friday for the Cubs. Hopefully it is better than last year!

if it's official, I will listen to the Mets @ Cubs game on XM and hope they actually broadcast the 7th inning stretch like they did a few years back
XM broadcasts the feed from the home team, and I'm a Mets fan, so it's no loss to me

chicacgocubs.com confirms this and also has Chris Chelios singing it on Saturday. Eddie and Chris are great friends too and whenever the band comes to Detroit, Chris is always getting a song dedicated to him and sitting side stage (03 = Betterman, 06 - Comeback) so I can only imagine those 2 partying it up the next few days!

Ed was "interviewed" during 5th inning (if you can call it that) and then sang Take Me Out To The Ballgame (they aired it). I was able to record both onto my XM radio, quality is just about as good as the broadcast signal.

Unfortunately, my laptop crapped out this morning (using wife's now to type this) so I will not be able to post the recording until the new hard drive comes in and everything is re-installed.

I DO HAVE IT, AND IT WAS RECORDED. My apologizes for making you all wait... believe me, I really wish my hard drive didn't crap out this morning.

Ed said about 10 words during his radio "interview" part with Ron and Pat.

And I hope his voice is better than what it sounded during take me out to the ballgame, he sounded like crap, imo.

I happened to get home from work early so I captured this off WGN digitally, just like last year. I'll post the MPEG-2 in the trading post in a few days. I'm moving on monday so my computer speakers are packed and I can't really edit the video without hearing it.

I found the 7th inning stretch part on wgntv.com...has anyone else found the part where he is in the booth or throwing out the first pitch? Not on youtube to my knowledge.

Best part of this was about an hour before gametime Ed and Kerry Wood were throwing bullpen... eddie has some heat on his pitches and they appeared to be close to strikes (hard to tell for sure from the bleachers).

He probably threw Kerry about 25 pitches or so - it was really fun to watch!

Too bad the non-waiver trade deadline passed... All the contending teams are looking for pitchers.
I wonder what it would take to get Vedder into a Mets uniform... humm...

Haha, yeah, the Phillies could use some help in the pitching department as well.
