While I would have LOVED to have a couple more seasons of the BBC's The Office, trying to convert it here without the same actors is just plain stupid.

What I don't understand is why they would take the same exact plot situations and literally 90% of the dialogue from the original show and simply Americanize it. What purpose does that serve? If anything, it only shows how the humor does not translate as well and is an indication of the poor choice to remake the show, if you can even call this a remake.
The sad thing is that I really want to like it because Steve Carell is involved. Dammit.
