Hi! This is Buffalodwarf just visiting after almost a year of being away.

Just wanted to say Galaxie 500 rocks. The album On Fire, from '89 I think, is amazing. Good stuff!

BTW I'll be getting out of the marines towards the end of the summer, and going back to Austin. I can't wait to get home so I can start going to some good shows!

Yea its great, I downloaded it a month ago. Its very reverby and I have to have the right mood for it, but it works.

That Yoko Ono cover of "Listen the Snow is Falling" is the most supremely underrated covers in rock music.

I stumbled on this thread, and it reminded me I need to get some Galaxie 500. Isn't that Yoko cover from This Is Our Music?

Guys I'm coming around on the On Fire train. That album is 80 kinds of great. Must listen repeatedly. Love the fuzz/effortlessness sound of it all. Also the falsetto.

Well Dean Wareham is playing some Galaxie 500 songs at a festival in Louisville. It raised my hopes that he could be billed for Pitchfork's festival, but the two weekends overlap.
