Good thread. I still am not familiar enough with the early albums to pick, so:

A Hard Day's Night: Any Time At All
Help!: The Night Before
Rubber Soul: If I Needed Someone OR Norwegian Wood (couldn't pick)
Revolver: I'm Only Sleeping
Sgt. Peppers: Lovely Rita
Magical Mystery Tour: I Am the Walrus
White Album: Dear Prudence
Abbey Road: She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
Let It Be: Across the Universe

Laura, have you seen the trailer for this?

I'm only noting the Beatles originals, although I prefer some of the early covers.

You forgot two releases with original material, laura.

please please me: I Saw Her Standing There
with the beatles: All My Loving (but Roll Over Beethoven is the best)
a hard days night: I'll Be Back (very tough to choose that over Things We Said Today)
beatles for sale: I'm A Loser (I've got a real soft spot for the cover of Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby)
help!: Ticket To Ride
rubber soul: I'm Looking Through You
revolver: Tomorrow Never Knows
sgt. peppers: A Day In The Life
magical mystery tour (including the singles): Strawberry Fields Forever
white album: While My Guitar Gently Weeps (honorable mention to Dear Prudence and Blackbird)
yellow submarine: It's All Too Much
abbey road: Something
let it be: Across The Universe

I think Across The Universe has to be the clear winner for Let It Be.

i think i first heard a Holly Cole version of that song i found it very compelling - and that girl's voice is really sweet. it's one of the songs where we hear that Paul was as influenced by Dylan as John (though they both kept their style)
as for Wait, this tune has been let down and taken back by the band - they thought it wasn't very good - but in fact the chords to it and the harmonies are really great - i could've used a little more instumental wanderings though

I always liked "Wait" as well, great desperate quality to it.
