I don't like Bear Grylls. I find his show highly impracticle, and I believe in the stories about him going to hotels at night. I'm constantly waiting for him to show us how to use alligators heads as stepping stones like in that Robin Hood cartoon.

Les Stroud wins by not crawling under glaciers.

Les Stroud's tv show is cooler.

i think both are pretty impractable considering probably less than 1 percent of the population actually gets stranded in the middle of nowhere with the just the bare essentials.

but that aside, i don't care how ridiculous man vs. wild gets, it's far more entertaining than survivorman. i don't really care if grylls hangs out in hotels at night, the bottom line is the dude does crazy shit and the fact that he's got a camera crew means that he's much less physically restricted, so we get to watch him tumble down steep hills, climb trees, float down rivers and jump off cliffs. not to mention he usually parachutes into his locations, which is also cool. much more entertaining.

i like man vs. wild much better. its just better. survivorman is annoying because he's always bitching about how hungry he is.

Bear shows you how to get out, while Survivor Man sits in one spot and gives no cool tips like drinking your own urine when you're thirsty. Plus, Bear has the accent.

you know les stroud makes me fall asleep, right?

grylls can pull out his george foreman grill while the cameras are off for all I care - man vs. wild is way more fun to watch.

Guys, I haven't even seen this Man Vs. Wild show. But I can tell you this. Sounds real gay.

Survivorman is class, seriously though he is incredibly talented. You city boys wouldn't understand.

Man vs. Wild. As someone who's seen most, if not all, episodes, I find some of the allegations to be off-the-wall lies.

MvW, hands downs. Who gives a shit if its contrived? The guy ripped the meat off a dead zebra with his teeth and drank the juice from elephant shit, he could sleep in an RV when the cameras are off for all I care.

Survivorman almost put me to sleep.

the dude still jumped in ice cold water and dried off with snow, jumped in quicksand more than once, had sharks ramming his mini raft, caught fish will a spear, drank his own piss, etc, etc, etc.

all that = major fucking badass

Maybe the two shows aren't really comparable. Man vs. Wild is entertainment, while Survivorman is a survival show.

Either way, if Bear and Les were both stranded on some desert island, i'd put my money on Les staying alive longer.

absolutely. bear can suck my proverbial wang. Fucking fraud. WHo cares if he did that shit. It might not even be real. Who knows if its real piss, could be mellow yellow, coward. or whatever...he's a fraud. I thought he was badass too.

less does everything twice. onec to get the shot...once to go back and get the cameras, he's surviving twice as hard and long as that pussy bear grylls.
