he was acted very surprised that someone would recognize him on the street, in Portland, no less. i stumbled through something about how great i thought he was, and how much i loved the band, blah, blah, blah. we talked about the Gorge, and a few other things. he said his thanks, and that was about it. not mean, but just extra-normal, i guess (kinda the way you would expect someone who was NEVER approached by strangers, which i find hard to believe that he would be one of those people).
