It's a synthesized band that plays over the top and comical melodic/brutal death metal, on which the Adult Swim TV show, Metalocalypse, is based. Basically it's this really brutal band called Dethklok that rules the world essentially because they are so popular. The band members aren't very smart, and they do lots of stupid shit which usually results in massive amounts of people dying for no reason. Hilarious show, awesome music.

all of the copies out there seem to have an audio watermark, or a place where one was removed. no big deal. this is actually better than i thought it would be. On the show the short clips of songs were usually pretty comical and over the top with their brutality, but these are surprisingly well constructed songs that i probably wouldn't immediately associate with a fictional cartoon band.
Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Gene's drumming could have been done by anyone. The upside is that the guitar harmonies really remind me of Brian May from Queen. There are several choruses that make me think Queen.

yeah, gene still hasn't topped his work with death... i was hoping taht since this is more akin to his death metal roots he'd bang out some of that propellor shit, but hey, the album still kicks ass
