The Chronicles of Narnia
I love the Narnia stories (C.S. Lewis).
this is my first time reading them...i'm done with the magician's nephew and about halfway through the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe....so far, i'm really enjoying it
i thought that the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe was the first book in that series. did i miss something?
and malice, your path is clear: use bit torrent to steal all the books you need in e-book form. it's like a library, only more sedentary
The magician's nephew takes place prior to the lion the witch and the wardrobe within that universe.
I've been thinking of doing that...
but it was published afterwards, right?
I was thinking that's the case, but I'm not sure.

let me check my laptop when i get home, i might even have one of them i can send to you
the copy i have is all of the narnia books together..and i just kinda glanced over the foreword and it said something like, "here are the books in the order Lewis would prefer them to be read" or something like that....so i guess that explains why the magician's nephew is first
Right now I'm reading Bob Dylan's Chronicles Vol I. It's a great read. I really like the parts when he talks about first coming to NYC and the people he meets. I can't wait for the next volume.

An ex-cop/mental patient meets a beautiful prostitute in a hotel bar. He takes her to his room and then...hours later, he wakes up in a bathtub full of ice. His side is stapled shut. He's missing a kidney. And he's pissed off. That's the set-up of this brilliantly written nightmarish thriller. It's loaded with twisted humor and is just really cool.
Awesome book! After you read KMJ you have to read Penny Dreadful and Hell's Half Acre. Will Baer is a fucking amazing writer. You should check out his website for some of his short stories that are just as good as his novels.http://www.willchristopherbaer.com/

I'm reading:
Memoria de mis putas tristes ~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez
I'm reading it in dutch. There doesn't seem to be an english translation yet, but I reckon the title will be translated to something like "Memory of my sad whores"
And re-reading:
The History of Western Philosophy ~ Bertrand Russell
Guards! Guards! ~ Terry Pratcehtt
