I've never seen any of them, but are they actually based on the storyline in the video games? Judging by the environments they seem to take place in, I don't think they are.

I never played the video game, so I'm not sure. All I know is I saw the first one and didn't really like it.

this new one seems to take place in a desert. dessert? desert? Whatever it is, I don't remember that being in Resident Evil. The first one was pretty good. The second one, despite having Nemesis, was pretty stupid, and hard to watch at times. My roomate is all "I can't wait to see this because I love zombies I don't care" and I'm like "You stupid bitch, they're not zombies!" But then again this is the same girl that argues with me that Devil's Rejects is a remake of Texas Chainsaw Massare. Idiot.

They really don't go along with the videogames at all, and they're incredibly stupid. Milla Jovovich has only played two parts: the prostitute in He Got Game, and the "ultimate killing machine" in every other horrible movie she's ever been in (excepting The Fifth Element, which rules).
