How much do you guys like this movie? I haven't seen it in years, and was thinking about buying it. I liked it when I was a kid, but am wondering how well it's going to hold up. I like buying a bunch of horror movies around this time of the year.

I thinking of just thefirst one. I assumed most of them aren't that good, kind of like Halloween. I see the one where he's in new york sometimes on tv.......it's pretty laughable. So is that one where he's on a spaceship or something.

Actually, this is one of the few series where the first isn't the best. Hell, you don't even get good ole hockey mask Jason until part 3.

For my money, 3, 4 and 6 are where it's at. I'm rating these on blood, boobs, kills and how much I like the particular take on Jason in each btw.

The third one is the best, if only for the ending. Scared the piss out of me as a boy.

Yup. In part 1 his mom is the killer, in part 2 he uses the burlap sack (which I liked a lot).

I'm just curious, why? It's generally regarded as a weaker entry in the series. I'll give it a few points for Kane Hodder as ultimate zombie Jason and the sleeping bag kill though. They should have restored all the cut gore when they put the dvd out, that probably would have helped a lot.

its the only one i saw in the theater, and I was younger and i remember it scared me good. I liked some of the kills, the sleeping bag, the circle saw to the gut...seeing jasons face freaked me the fuck out for weeks. I havent seen the cut scenes, your saying they are good?

I don't know, I've just heard that the movie was heavily cut down by the MPAA to secure the R rating and that a lot of the better effects were lost.

I don't dislike this one as much as some people seem to, I just wondered why it was your favorite. The awesomeness of zombie Jason is pretty hard to deny, even if it's in a questionable entry.

I wanna go to Lake Crystal just because it's always full of hot girls that like getting boned. One of the first erections I ever recall was while watching a Friday the 13th movie as a kid (I think it was part V).

I could do a guide for next month, though that could become pretty time consuming. I guess we're pointing people in the right direction here though, yeah?

these movies are the typical "horror movies that scared the fuck out of me when I was a kid and are now hysterical".

Jason Takes Manhattan was pretty bad...especially when the sewage (?) turns him into a little boy. Did that actually happen...or am I making it up?
