sounds like a female jose gonzales, who can actualy write a good song, instead of covering a good one, and putting it on a record with a bunch of okay ones... it's very minimalist, but i love her melodies and harmonies

me too, i got this album after it was mentioned in the 07 albums you've missed and kind of forgot about it, until a song of hers came on in shuffle mode and i really liked it (Money). i decided to listen to the album and it's a really good album. girl's got talent.

what the fuck does "Kismet" mean?
i have no idea, but i saw her live with a full band, it was waaaaaaay better than the album. i recommend seeing her play if she's got a full band... seed of wonder was definitely the highlight live. it had so much more energy and was like a wall of tribal sounds building and climaxing to that little guitar riff. i keep on wanting to hear that version again.

It means "fate." It derives from several similar words found in a number Arabic and Turkic languages. I believe that our version comes to us from Turkish.

are you talking about the live song you posted? if so, are you talking about an acoustic studio version of it? if so, what's the title of the acoustic EP?
