By "start", do you mean seasons 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18?

13 was better than 11 and 12, and 18 was better than 15, 16 and 17.

Once you get past 10, its all shades of shittiness.

The only part of the ep I laughed hard at is whne the Texan guy said, "HAHA! You're really good at repeating the same joke I just told you."

I've actually tried to watch a new ep on various occasions, but the last time I did they were in a car with giant fruit being thrown at them.

I havent watched the last few seasons very much, but this wasn't that great. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.

I loved the opening, harking back to events in the movie.

As far as the episode itself, it was ok. They're never going to reach the level they did in the glory takes, so you kinda have to take what you can get at this point.

Simpsons episodes always get better with repeated viewings. Even back during the classic phase of Seasons 3-8, I'd always laugh more with each viewing because I had time to talk about certain parts of the show with friends (do the voices and stuff). This would always make the next viewing much more enjoyable (except for "The Principal and the Pauper", right?)

The first viewing of a Simpsons episode is like getting ready to watch it in some ways.

Yeah, I've almost never thought Simpsons episodes were that great when they first aired.

Last night's episode w/ Homer singing opera while on his back was so boring I walked away halfway through to go take a shower.
