This is a riddle/poem I wrote in the style of the Anglo-Saxon's poetry and stories and riddles. It's nothing like their work, but it was an attempt. It's a pretty easy riddle and if you don't know the answer, but then are told, you'd be like "ooooooo!" Yeah, here.
I stand alone, for I smother my peers Silent Weeping, draping tears Through billowing loneliness, I am you shelter Take you under my wing My outstretched tears shield you Look at me from a distance I look frail Look at me up close I look frail Look at me from beneath I stand sturdy and strong I am Mother's life-giver What am I?
