I saw I similar post on here where people said that the band hated Leatherman, but they may have just been projecting their own feelings onto the band.

There were a lot of 'lost dogs' not put on the album. They would have to make at least another CD or two to get them on there. I dont think they wanted to go that far. Off the top of my head there was...
Angel
Sonic Reducer
Leatherman
Happy When I'm Crying
Olympic Platnum
Crazy Mary
I've Got A Feeling
Thunderclap
I Just Want To Have Something To Do
Girl
Yellow Ledbetter (alternate take)
Jeremy (alternate version)
I'm Still Here
Oceans (remix)
EWBTCIAST (acoustic)

Crazy Mary wasn't on Lost Dogs?
Can you really count those alternative takes and remixes? It's not like they point any alt. takes of songs we already had on an album. If we have the song in any fashion, I wouldn't call it a Lost Dog. Still, none of that voids your point.

It's true. Although in interviews several years ago when they started talking about the project, they mentiond having these other takes such as alt. ledbetter and jeremy and talked about putting them on there. So it was considered at one point. I've never heard them (they are studio takes) and I dont know anyone who has. So to me they are certainly "lost"

Well that's definitely true. I've always been bummed about no vitalogy b-sides, since it's my favorite album. They started playing Red Mosquito and Brain of J on that tour. I wonder if those were songs they had worked on in the studio during Vitalogy
