LOCAL H
TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO ALBUM
ON SHOUT! FACTORY

12 ANGRY MONTHS

IN STORES MAY 13, 2008

Los Angeles, CA – Alternative rock mainstays Local H return with their seventh album on May 13, titled 12 Angry Months. The band’s debut on Shout! Factory, 12 Angry Months is Local H’s first new studio album since 2004’s Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles?

Written after the bitter end of a long-term relationship, the album chronicles a full year of post-breakup experiences. Each track on 12 Angry Months corresponds to a month, and deals with the range of emotions one encounters after love turns sour. Those emotions range from anger (“so, baby could you do me a favor? fall of the earth and i'll see you later”), to jealousy (“this is crazy, I can’t believe that you replaced me”), to acceptance (“you knew we'd never make it anyway”).

Highly regarded for their powerful sound and unique two-man lineup with Scott Lucas on vocals and guitar and Brian St. Clair on drums, Local H is known for derisive lyrics, heavy guitars and feedback, energetic live shows, and an active relationship with their fans. The band performs regularly, and will be on tour nationally in 2008.

Brian St. Clair of Local H
Joins Ludwig Drums Artist Roster

September 27, 2007 – Red Light Management is pleased to announce the endorsement of Brian St. Clair, drummer for Local H, by Ludwig Drums. “The decision to play Ludwig came easy”, said St. Clair. “There is a long history behind them. Artists I have admired for many years play them. Plus, they sound and look amazing!”

St. Clair’s Ludwig Classic Maple configuration consists of a 16 x 24” Kick, 12 x14” Rack Tom, 16 x16” Floor Tom, and 6.5 x14” Wood Snare. “I loved playing this set on our September east coast tour. I look forward to playing Ludwig for years to come.”

St. Clair joined Local H in 1999, following the breakup of his previous band, Triple Fast Action (Capitol/Deep Elm). Local H’s discography has grown fast since St. Clair’s arrival and includes:

Here Comes The Zoo (Palm) 2002
No Fun (Thick) 2003
Whatever Happened To PJ Soles? (Studio E/Bardick) 2004
Alive-05 (Cleopatra) 2005
99 – Double O demos (G & P) 2006

Local H kicks off their 2008 tour schedule in Australia on January 3. The band will then embark on an extensive tour of the US in support of their forthcoming album, 12 Angry Months.

I've heard 2 albums from this band. I liked "As Good as Dead", but I hated the other one. I don't remember the title but it had a bag of hammers on the cover.

that's their first one, i haven't actually heard it but can assure you that if you like as good as dead you should like the ones they made after it.

How bizarre that I would learn this here and not at the H board. Anyways, the new live stuff I've heard all kicks ass.

jammer that first album is Ham Fisted, and i think it's alright. some really good songs on it.

my favorites are definately pack up the cats and here comes the zoo. and what would you have me do? is one of my favorite songs.

i enjoy the other albums quite a bit too. solid band, scott lucas is a great song-writer.

In 1999 Joe Daniels let me hang out on the tour bus with him and the crew after meeting him in a parking lot after a gig. He was the coolest dude you could ever meet. I then ran into Scott Lucas stumbling across the street drunk a bit later with a guy from Superdrag. I miss that old lineup. Everything after Pack Up The Cats never stuck with me. Damn shame, cause that was a cool band.

Anyone know how to customize a guitar so that it has bass and guitar pickups and two separate chord inputs? Seeing that for the first time years ago was badass.

everybody needs to check out here comes the zoo at some point in their lives, that thing they do in the last song where at the climax all these different parts from the other songs in the album start playing in the background at the same time is one of the coolest things i've ever heard.
