i'm looking to find (preferably free) photo editing software that would allow me to drain the "natural colour" from a shot and fill it in with "unnatural colour".......i've been using the kodak software that came with my digital and filling in colour using paint, and i've been able to create some neat stuff.....

but i'm looking for a program that would allow me to remove and fill in colour more "solidly" i guess.....along these lines....

anyone have any ideas?.....i'm trying to find something less intense than photoshop, but still with cool features....

much obliged.....

If you don't want Photoshop try Paint Shop Pro. It's not as good as PS (nothing is) but I know artists who use it and like it a lot.

You should give PS a try though. There are great training materials out there and when you get used to the tools it's like crack. They misnamed this product.

You can do vector in PS and it would give more options than Illustrator but CS2 or CS3 would be ideal having both programs. 3 is positively orgasmic.
