so my gf is kind of a wuss when it comes to scary movies, but she's game to join the halloween spirit with me. however, if i show her house of 1000 corpses, she's not gonna be able to sleep for a week. she watched the halloween remake and 28 days later with me so far, and those went over fairly well... any other suggestions?

Last house on the left:

Great rape/murder scene :P

My wife is a wuss too but she sat through the following:

28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Scream movies
I know what you did last summer
Texas Chainsaw (remake unfortunately) there's no way she would sit through the original
The Descent
Saw movies
Cabin Fever
Grudge
The Ring

I'm sure there's more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

This is pretty tough actually. I'd say go for some horror comedies like the Evil Dead movies. If she can handle 28 Days then the Romero trilogy is probably a go as well. Reanimator is good, enough humor there to balance it out I'd say. Stuff like Feast and Dead and Breakfast as well. I'd just start thinking of a lot of horror comedy type stuff.

The Descent, just cause it has chicks kicking ass. Although it is pretty fucked up.

Reanimator is good unless your girlfriend is a cat person. I found that out the hard way.

she hates cats, so everyone wins

i think the descent will be good... i'm not showing her shitty movies by the way, so no fucking way to last summer, screams, texas chainsaw remake, etc.
