when you answer your cell phone, mimic your answering machine. i did this twice in the past day, its pretty funny. just say "its ________ leave a message... BEEEEEEP" they either are really thrown by it and are not sure what they heard, start leaving a message, or they hang up.

or when surveyors call you, tell them you don't have time right now and ask them if they bother leaving you their personnal phone number so you can call them after their shift for the survey :mrgreen:
